What's it for?
In the event of a fire, the Sprinkler is activated as soon as a head "explodes" under the effect of heat from smoke and thermal radiation. The flow rate of a head can reach 12.5L/m2/min. A "water flow" bell sounds, and an alarm message is sent to the control room.
These substantial facilities are installed as soon as the risk of loss of production is considered high by our management and our insurer. It is in this context that in 2022 we have renovated the Foundry installation dating from 1917.

Completion date: December 2022
The installation is inspected by a specialized commission (CNPP) before commissioning.
The Foundry, Maintenance and HSE teams receive training in the use of the equipment, to enable them to deal with emergency situations or incidents.
Mandatory weekly maintenance is in place.
